Porcelain Art by Judith van den Boom

Judith van den Boom´s methods of research, design and projects are inspired by her approach as practical idealist. Her curiosity have brought her design/porcelain work on a variety of places and collaborations. For Judith design is a communicative process, gathering diverse minds, qualities and contexts to work towards new paradigm in material and mindsets. The relations between hand’s on material explorations, slow awareness, people and their qualities are fuel in her work in Europe and extensively in China.

Judith van den Boom
Building new roads for design work, creating sharp dialogues and activating human serving design connections has become Judith’s fuel. To work for a deeper development of design parameters by reposition design into places and purposes. Judith van den Boom (1977) born in Utrecht (NL) and studied for her BA Product Design at Design Academy Eindhoven and Academy of Art& Design in Arnhem with following design driven MA Applied Arts at Royal College of Art in London for deeper material knowledge and international connecting network.
In London she was based for longer period and actively working with other designers, thinkers and activators for new design perspectives. Previous to her design training she was educated and active in organic land cultivation and green design. Here she grounded her passion for environment and its natural qualities that she finds of high value for people’s lives and well being.
From 2004 until present she had several extensive work experiences in China through design projects, residencies and manufacturing. Building up deeper relationships through working together. Here she created work such as ceramic productions, documentation, photography and connections in bridging co-creative cultural discussion networks.
